Submissions

The Nature Film Festival of Toronto invites filmmakers from Canada and around the world to submit their films for our inaugural season.

Our Programming

We welcome films that use the language of cinema to tell stories, explore ideas, and reveal perspectives on the natural world, including but not limited to:

  • Wildlife and natural history
  • Environmental issues and climate change
  • Conservation and ecological restoration
  • Human experience, understanding, and connection with the natural world

NFFT embraces diverse voices, experiences, and filmmaking approaches. We encourage submissions from student filmmakers, first-time directors, independent creators, and established professionals alike. Whether documentary, narrative, experimental, animated, or hybrid in form, we seek films that demonstrate creativity, craftsmanship, and a meaningful engagement with the natural world.
